bio

Born and raised in Dover (UK) I have been singing in pubs and clubs since I was 17 years old. At 19, I was a resident artist at the Dover folk club, which met in a room above the Falstaff pub.

In the 1970s I played the pubs, clubs and hotels around East Kent as the lead singer/rhythm guitarist of a mainly country trio called The Reapers.
I now divide my time between the UK and the USA, performing acoustic sets at shows whenever and wherever the opportunity presents itself.

My regular local haunts include the Plough in Ripple (Monday Singaround), the Home Ground Cafe Bar in Folkestone (Friday Open Mic sessions), The Imperial Hotel in Canterbury (Thursday Open Mic sessions and gigs), The Black Robin in Kingston (Sunday Open Mic sessions), The Smack in Whitstable (Wednesday Open Stage sessions), The Alma in Deal (Tuesday Open Mic sessions), The Star in St Mary in the Marsh (Tuesday Folk Night), The Yew Tree in Westbere (Open Mic sessions), The Gove Ferry Inn near Canterbury (Sunday Open Stage), The Dancing Dog Saloon in Bobbing (Friday Acoustic Lounge and Sunday Jam), and the Daniels CMC in Chadwell St Mary, Essex (Tuesday All Evening Jam).  I have also performed solo acoustic gigs at the Market Inn and the Admiral Owen (Sandwich), the Unicorn (Bekesbourne), the Thompson's Bell (Walmer), and the Two Left Feet Line Dancing Club (Deal).

I record all my songs in my own home "studio" using my Yamaha Tyros keyboard or Tanglewood/Epiphone guitars.

The videos from Texas (on YouTube) were recorded by my cousin Cat at the Loading Dock in Georgetown and featured my Epiphone Masterbilt guitar.  Other videos were recorded at the Pioneer Adult Community Center in Oregon City, OR, where I did a regular Tuesday lunchtime spot for a couple of years when I was in the States; at a Sunday night gig at The Unicorn in Bekesbourne, Kent; and at various open-mics, open-stages, jam sessions, folk clubs and sing-arounds in various parts of Kent, Essex and Yorkshire. These also feature my Epiphone Masterbilt guitars.

I have my own PA system and am available for bookings on both sides of the ocean. For details or to book a show, please contact me through the Contact page.
